Connections

“Jesus, the ultimate minister.”

GetConnectedA great way to get to know other believers is to “visit” or become a part of the groups at Graceway. We call it “Getting Connected.”  Our groups, our programs, our classes and even our worship  are all designed to minister.

So what is ministry? The word “Ministry” is from the Greek word diakoneo, meaning “to serve” or douleuo, meaning “to serve as a slave.” In the Bible, ministry is seen as service to God and to other people in God’s name. When Jesus came he said —He came, not to receive service, but to give it ( Matthew 20:28; Mark 10:45; John 13:1-17).

We believe we  should minister by meeting people’s needs with love and humility as Jesus would ( Matthew 20:26; Mark 10:43; John 2:5; John 2:9; Acts 6:3; Romans 1:1; Galatians 1:10; Colossians 4:12). We see Jesus as the ultimate minister. Though He lived in the heavens with the Father He left it all behind just so He could bring salvation to man. Ultimately He gave up everything so that our needs might be met.

As a growing Christian community our ministries include:
