What We’re About

“Many people never come to know Jesus because they don’t want to jump through a bunch of hoops.  Who can blame them?”

What unites us as a community is not our denominational or nondenominational background but our believe that Jesus is God  . . . and that He came to this earth to save mankind from the consequences of our sin.  What unites us is Jesus. We’ve broken it down to three basic principles.

  • live for Jesus!
  • love like Jesus!
  • lead to Jesus!
  • To live for Jesus means that we put our own desires aside and turn to His teachings. To treat others with love and respect, to comfort the broken, to feed the hungry, to help the helpless and encourage the hopeless.  The life Jesus lived was one of service and we believe that we are called to live that life. (Isaiah 61 [show] The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion-- to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified. They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations. Strangers shall stand and tend your flocks; foreigners shall be your plowmen and vinedressers; but you shall be called the priests of the LORD; they shall speak of you as the ministers of our God; you shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their glory you shall boast. Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy. For I the LORD love justice; I hate robbery and wrong; I will faithfully give them their recompense, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them. Their offspring shall be known among the nations, and their descendants in the midst of the peoples; all who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are an offspring the LORD has blessed. I will greatly rejoice in the LORD; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to sprout up, so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to sprout up before all the nations.

To love like Jesus means to love everyone regardless of who they are, what they’ve done, and where they’re from. His message of love and grace is for all the world.  It’s a message for everyone of any age,  from any background, of any color.  It’s the most poignant and relevant message ever spoken in any language at any time in any place.  For those who listen and accept, it means your life will be changed forever. There is nothing like it. (John 15:13 [show] Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. (ESV)

To lead to Jesus means sharing His message with anyone who will listen.  It’s about helping those who can’t find their way, find Him. It’s about allowing His teachings to change our lives forever. It’s about His grace, His mercy and His kindness. It’s about Jesus.

What it comes down to is this, we’re just a group of people trying to do the best we can to live for, love like and lead to Jesus and we hope you’ll join us in spreading the word.

    Verse of the Day

Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this? - John 11:25-26 ESV
